NORTHEN CIRCUIT ROUTE

From the Gate, We will Start our jounery steadily through the forests to reach Big Tree camp where you will be spending the night.

It’s the Second day of the journey. Today we will trek across the rain forest into savannah forest and volcanic rock draped with lichen beards, to the Shira 1 Camp from where we can often have view of Kibo Peak floating on the clouds.

Head east through the ‘Garden of the Senecios’ to the high alpine desert zone.
Trekking to Lava Tower later to iconic Shark’s Tooth rock (4600m) and have sometime rest while have your lunch. After lunch descent to Moir Camp for overnight rest.

We start a day by ascent the steep climb out of Moir Valley, where optionaly you can take the detour ascent the summit of Little Lent Hill at 4375m, then returning to the Northern Circuit trail. From here the route follows a series of inclines and declines, and skirting around the northern slopes of Kibo to Buffalo Camp (4200m)

Climb up the Buffalo edge and down into Porfu Camp where lunch is ordinarily served. The route at that point proceeds east around the northern slants to the Rongai Third Cave at 3800m. Rest for the next day tour

The trekking begin by walk your way to Barafu Summit Camp (4640m), the starting point for a night summiting Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). It’s a tough steep walk made more difficult by the altitude. After lunch and some rest take acclimatization hike towards the intermediate Kosovo Summit Camp (4800m) and then back to Barafu Camp for dinner.

Congatulation, You’ll reach Uhuru Peak in the early afternoon, when few groups are around. Then a short descent brings you to Crater Camp, set in soft sands near the famed Furtwangler Glacier.

We begin our descent by returning to Stella Point and then descending on scree slope passing Barafu camp for a short break before heading down to Millennium Camp for a long well-earned rest.

Day 9 is the ultimate day of trekking. A delicate journey takes us down through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, We will be met by our vehicles and return to the hotel in Moshi, where you’ll be able treat yourself to a welcome shower at that point celebrate with cold drinks.
