Welcome to Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park Is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, with about two-thirds of its region secured by the lake. The compact diversion seeing here could be a genuine microcosm of the Tanzanian safari encounter. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, the world’s biggest populace of monkeys, 400 species of feathered creatures and the soda-ash lake with pink-hued flamingos.
What to see?
Tree Climbing lions
The tree-climbing lions, which are occasionally visible among the branches of acacia trees, are the park’s most famous attraction. Buffalo, elephants, leopards, baboons, impala, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, ostriches, and hippos are among the park’s other inhabitants. Lake Manyara National Park, also known as an ornithologist’s paradise, is home to approximately 400 bird species that may be found in most savanna and river habitats in East Africa. Pelicans, spoonbills, Egyptian geese, hammerkops, and migratory flamingos are among the common water birds observed here, with hundreds of thousands flocking to the soda lake to create one of Africa’s most spectacular natural vistas.
Diverse habitats
Lake Manyara is a Diverse habitats that extends for 50 km (31 miles) along the base of the towering brilliant edges of the Fracture Valley edge. The park highlights a riches of differing living spaces.The gigantic soda lake where natural life such as hippos, wildebeest, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes and zebras assemble. The rest of the Manyara biological system comprises of open grassy ranges, swamps, acacia woodland filled with colossal fig and mahogany trees and hot springs.

Hot Springs Boardwalk Way
The boardwalk and viewpoint, which were recently added to the park, provide visitors with a fresh approach to explore the area as well as numerous photo opportunities. View Maji Moto Ngogo’s 105°F (40°C) fresh hot water spring and Maji Moto, a group of 140°F (60°C) hot water springs. The boardwalk is a stunning wooden construction that spans 300 meters (600 meters round-trip) and rises 1.5 meters above the ground. The walk winds its way through the hot springs and along the shoreline, then through a marsh and into the water. At every turn of the trail, the boardwalk provides tourists with a unique view and wonderful photo opportunity. The boardwalk also contributes to the preservation of the sensitive ecology by minimizing environmental disturbance.
Birding hotspot
Lake Manyara could be a genuine birding hotpsot with more than 400 species including raptors. Highlights incorporate thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their eternal relocation, as well as other huge waterbirds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. Due to the vastness of the lake, this park may be a genuine birding hotspot.
