BIG FIVE SAFARIS

The “Big Five” which includes the African Buffalo, African Elephant, Black Rhinoceros, Leopard and Lion!. On this tour you will be taken to places, where chances to spot all five of them are very high!

Come closer to the Big Five

The Big 5 was a hunting term used in the past to denote the five most dangerous creatures to hunt in Africa. Elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and rhinos are the most sought-after species to view on the continent, and their renown has spilled over into the tourism industry.

They aren’t, however, Africa’s most hazardous animals. The two creatures that kill the most people are the small mosquito and the slow hippo, neither of which are members of the Big Five.

Lion (Panthera Leo)

It’s easy to see why? because they’re the kings of the animal kingdom. You might catch a glimpse of a pride of lions enjoying the sun on the grasses or roaming the plains like kings and queens on their thrones.

Weight range: 130-190 kg with the 1 to 4 years of  life span

Elephant (Loxodonta Africana)

The largest existing land animal and most social animals live in groups of up to a hundred individuals.

Weight: 6,000 kg with Lifespan of  60 to 70 years

Rhino (Diceros Bicornis)

A black rhinoceros wandering desert plains looks almost prehistoric, a creature from days long ago.

Weight: 800 to 1,400 kg with the Lifespan range of 35 to 50 years

Leopard (Panthera pardus)

The nocturnal, clever animal. The leopard sleeps in the trees, dragging its prey up into the branches on a regular basis.

Weight range: 17-65 kg with 12 to 15 years of life span

Buffalo (Syncerus Caffer)

Don’t be fooled by the fact that they’re called bush cows. African buffalos are merciless predators who are powerful, fast, and agile.

Weight: 590 kilogrammes with 20year lifespan
